Getting back

Two months later, here we are.

So many changes! The past two months have been among the most stressful in my life, but they’re all for the better. My partner and I packed everything up, sold our home, and moved from the nation’s capital to the nation’s salt potato capital, Syracuse, New York.

Things will be different, but I’m so excited for the change. New York State is where I was meant to be; it’s where I was born, where I made lifelong friends, where I earned two degrees, and now it’s where I live once again. It’s so great to be back in the middle of it–quite literally, the middle of the state.

To celebrate my return to the state I generally consider home, I’ll be updating this site much more. It’ll be my thought repository and a respite from submitting job application after job application looking for work. I have a few things in the works from the summer as well, so you may see those at some point. And I’ll be playing around with the site layout as I continue to build upon my WordPress knowledge, so if something doesn’t seem right, please let me know.

It’s good to be back in so many ways. I’m excited for the future, and I hope you are too!
